AI Content Disclosure
Effective Date: 2026-05-28 Last Updated: 2026-06-03
This AI Content Disclosure explains how AI is involved when you use Migaki and what users should consider when publishing or selling outputs.
1. AI Processing
Migaki uses AI image processing to improve clarity, preserve the original composition, reduce artifacts, and prepare higher-resolution outputs from user-provided illustrations.
The exact models, processing steps, and internal configuration are proprietary and may change over time. Migaki may apply automated safety checks at its discretion to help apply its content standards; it does not pre-screen or manually review every image.
Migaki is not a text-to-image generator. All outputs are derived from your uploaded input image.
2. What This Means for Your Output
2.1 Output is AI-enhanced. Even though you provided the input image, the refined output is the result of automated AI processing. Output may differ from the input in subtle ways because enhancement involves interpretation of lines, edges, texture, and other visual details.
2.2 Outputs are not guaranteed to be perfect copies or strict restorations. The Service may introduce minor changes, artifacts, or stylistic differences.
2.3 You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing, selling, or distributing them.
3. Your Disclosure Obligations
When you redistribute, sell, or publish outputs from Migaki, consider whether your platform, marketplace, buyer, or local law requires disclosure of AI involvement.
Examples may include platform AI-content labels, marketplace disclosure rules, or legal disclosure requirements in specific jurisdictions. Check the rules that apply where you publish or commercialize outputs.
If a buyer would reasonably expect a fully hand-drawn work, do not misrepresent a Migaki-enhanced output as fully hand-drawn.
4. What Migaki Does NOT Disclose for You
4.1 We do not automatically disclose AI involvement on your behalf when you redistribute outputs.
4.2 You are solely responsible for disclosure obligations relating to your use, sale, or publication of outputs.
5. Training and User Uploads
5.1 We do not use user-submitted inputs or outputs to train or fine-tune AI models.
5.2 The exact model stack is proprietary and may change over time.
5.3 If you are an artist concerned about your work being used in AI training:
- Migaki does not use your uploads for training.
- We cooperate with properly submitted takedown requests under the DMCA Policy.
6. Open Resource Acknowledgement
Migaki acknowledges the 4xHFA2k upscaling model by Philip Hofmann, released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0), and related HFA2K resources by "musl". These resources have informed parts of our image-enhancement research and may continue to be referenced or adapted as our internal systems evolve. This acknowledgement is for attribution only and does not imply endorsement.
7. Limitations of AI
AI processing can:
- Introduce minor inaccuracies or artifacts
- Misinterpret edge cases in the input image
- Vary slightly between runs
We do not warrant that outputs will meet specific aesthetic, technical, or commercial expectations.
8. User Responsibility
When you use Migaki, you acknowledge that:
- The output is AI-enhanced
- You will not misrepresent it as fully hand-drawn in contexts where that representation would mislead
- You will disclose AI involvement where required by platform rules, marketplace rules, buyer expectations, or law
- You will not use AI outputs to deceive or defraud others
9. Updates
This disclosure may be updated as AI law and industry practice evolve. Material changes will be communicated by email.
